Students of the Advertising and Public Relations Department explained their media plans to industry representatives
Students of the Cyprus International University (CIU) Department of Advertising and Public Relations, continue to present the original media plans they have prepared for a product or service they have chosen, evaluated by industry representatives operating in different areas of the field, that have accomplished successful works in Northern Cyprus.
Within the framework of the ‘Media Planning’ course, that is supervised by CIU Advertising and Public Relations Department academic staff Assist. Prof. Dr. Galip E. Erdil, the media plans prepared individually by the students this year were presented to the evaluation of DesignLab Marketing / Advertising and Level Istanbul Director, Uraz Şentürk.
Advising that due to the Covid-19 measures the presentations were made online, Erdil went on to say, "within the scope of the activity, the students had the opportunity to apply the theoretical knowledge they learned during their lessons”.
Stating that within the scope of the projects prepared, both the visuals and the planning ideas are shared with the sector representatives, Erdil informed that the feedback given by the sector representatives in relation to the projects are beneficial for the personal development of the students.
Assist. Prof. Dr. Erdil pointed out that the study was initiated in an effort to bring together the leading names of the industry with industry candidates, and noted that cooperation in this sense is beneficial for media experts of the future.

Stating that they are satisfied with this work they have carried out with the students, Şentürk went on to state, “The intertwining of the students' and the sector, while having the opportunity to observe the functioning structure with all the details, makes a very important contribution to the structuring of their careers. The more we cooperate with the students, the more we can ensure that their steps will be stronger after they graduate."
Stating that he enjoys meeting with the students, Şentürk concluded, “we try to participate actively in events such as these. I congratulate the CIU Advertising and Public Relations Department for organizing such useful events”.
