CIU School of Tourism and Hotel Management is awaiting the future tourism professionals

Cyprus International University (CIU) School of Tourism and Hotel Management, with its education-teaching program where theoretical and practical information unites, is ready for the 2021-2022 Academic year.

CIU School of Tourism and Hotel Management Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Orhan Uludağ, stating that the Tourism and Hotel Management program obtains the German Foundation for International Business Administration (FIBAA) Accreditation, also advised that they have full membership with the International Association Supporting Hospitality and Tourism and Training (EURHODIP).

Advising that they have the Gastronomy Undergraduate (English and Turkish) and Tourism and Hotel Management programs within the school, Uludağ explained that students who graduate from the undergraduate program may apply for the Tourism and Hotel Management Master’s (English) Program and the Tourism Management Doctorate (English) Program after and continue with their academic careers.

Drawing attention to the fact that the School of Tourism and Hotel Management has 1 fully equipped professional and industrially designed laboratory, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uludağ went on to advise, “In an effort to provide a better education for our fast-increasing student numbers in the practical area, we have begun producing 1 more laboratory”.

Underlining the fact that the contents of the laboratories have been prepared with equipment from the sector of the highest quality, in order for the students to gain the necessary experience and for them to gain top level gastronomy skills, Uludağ continued, “In our laboratory, we have equipment such as a professional convection oven for our students to practice all of their cooking techniques, a cake oven, a dough kneading machine, straight grill, lava stone grill, chiller, Induction, pasta cooker, slicer, railed grill system, and a robot coupe”.

Stating that individuals who graduate from the School of Tourism and Hotel Management have a wide range of work opportunities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uludağ explained that they may work at airlines, hotels, travel agents, tour operators, holiday villages, and luxury restaurants to name a few.

Drawing attention to the fact that the school provides education-teaching with a strong and international academic team, Uludağ added that they continue to raise the tourism professionals that are required by the sector with their multicultural student base and laboratories that are equipped with the latest technology infrastructure.
