CIU masterplan is among the best of the world

CIU Campus Masterplan is racing within the "Best cultural and sports infrastructure" category of the "MIPIM 2021" awards.

Since 2017, the Cyprus International University (CIU) has been working with ARUP on a masterplan for the development of the CIU campus. ARUP operates in the fields of engineering, urban planning, and architecture, and has built some of the most prestigious buildings in the world. CIU masterplan has made us proud once again. In 2020, the university won first place at the “Architecture, Construction and Design Awards 2020”, within the Urban Design (Built) category, proving that in addition to its strong academic program, it is also a strong campus university.

This year, among many worldwide projects, it has been chosen as one of the best 4 projects within the "Best cultural and sports infrastructure" category of the "MIPIM 2021" awards, organized by MIPIM, which evaluates the world’s investments in different sectors.

MIPIM, which has been awarding magnificent structures since 1991, has provided a source of pleasure in placing Northern Cyprus in the best list for the first time ever.

The winners will be selected on a 50/50 basis by the means of voting by the MIPIM delegates and jury, which will be announced at the MIPIM Awards ceremony at the Palais des Festivals Grand Auditorium in Cannes on the 8th September.
