Law on Student Amnesty
STUDENT EDUCATION AMNESTY
Students who were enrolled in preparatory, associate degree, undergraduate, or graduate programs prior to November 1, 2026, and whose enrollment at our University was terminated due to academic failure, voluntary withdrawal, or economic reasons, will be able to resume their studies.
The education amnesty covers citizens of the TRNC, the Republic of Türkiye, and other countries.
The application period is 6 months (October 2, 2026 – April 2, 2027); students wishing to benefit from the amnesty may apply to our University within six months from the date the decree enters into force.
Special timeframes have been established for students performing military service or who are pregnant. Those performing military service (citizens of the TRNC and the Republic of Türkiye) on the date the decree entered into force may apply within six months of their discharge. Provisions have also been made to allow for the deferral of military service for students required to enlist during the application period.
Pregnant individuals will be able to apply by submitting a medical report within the one-year period that begins after the initial six-month post-birth period, counting from the date the Decree enters into force.
