- Main research areas: film and media history, film and media policy, historical representation, media and colonialism, Hollywood cinema, British cinema, Anglo-American relations, media of Cyprus, acting and performance
- Recent research projects have focussed on: 1) historical films and the representation of history, particularly in American and British cinema, 2) the cultural and economic relationships between the British and American film industries, 3) the role of media in the British Empire, particularly in Cyprus.
- I am currently undertaking research on the representation of the very recent past in American film and Television, British film policy and European integration, and historical cinema audiences in Cyprus.
